How do I get started?

Do you offer training on how to use the Zelis Payments Portal?

We do. You can find training guides and videos to answer all your how-to questions in the Payments Portal Help & Support section.

Does Zelis charge a service fee?

Zelis helps providers streamline their claim management process by offering a secure platform to manage claim payment and remittance information from a network of 400+ payers. Information and payments are protected using a multi-layer security approach, backed by HITRUST certification. To support this infrastructure and make continuous improvements for providers, Zelis charges a fee for this service.

How long does it take to enroll?

It depends on the size of your practice and the payment options you select during enrollment. 

When you select the Virtual Credit Card (VCC) option, you will immediately receive virtual card payments for all future payments.  

When selecting the ACH+ option, timing varies due to the steps involved in verifying account    information. We expect the process to take between 7-10 business days.

Who is Zelis?

What payment options does Zelis offer providers?

Zelis offers flexible payment options to allow you the freedom to get paid in the way that works for you. Read the descriptions of each payment option below to find out more:

ACH+ is a fee-based option for receiving your payments via direct deposit. You will have access to the Payments Portal, a single secure platform to manage electronic claim payments and data from a network of 400+ payers.

Virtual credit cards (VCC) are one time use virtual cards that you can enter into your merchant terminal. You will have access to the Payments Portal, a single secure platform to manage electronic claim payments and data from a network of 400+ payers.

Check: Not ready to go paperless? Zelis will provide your paper checks by mail. This payment option does not include access to the Payments Portal.

What software do I need?

No specific software is needed to use Zelis. Our Payments Portal integrates with your clearinghouse or directly into your current practice management system.

Do you offer Single Sign-On?

If you have multiple accounts with Zelis, you may choose to pull them all into a single Payments Portal using Single Sign-On (SSO). When enabled, you will log in to the Primary account and be able to see payments and information for all the accounts that you have tied to the Primary. To request Single Sign-On be applied to your accounts, please contact Zelis Client Service at 877.828.8770

How does enrolling with Zelis differ from ACH payments through my payer?

Zelis helps you go beyond simply receiving payments electronically from a single payer. By enrolling with Zelis, you will have access to a single secure platform to manage electronic claim payments and data from a network of 400+ payers.

  • One Payment Stream – receive claim payments as ACH directly into your bank account or via one time use virtual cards that you can enter into your merchant terminal.

  • One Data Stream – remittance data can be sent to your clearinghouse, delivered directly into your practice management system or downloaded from the portal.

  • One Portal – view payment and remittance information for 400+ payers all in one place.
    One Customer Service Team – one number to call if you need help with any payer in the Zelis payments network.

Can I update my banking information?

Yes - Zelis makes this easy to update within the Payments Portal.

Simply have your administrator or a user with the permissions to ‘Manage Payment Options’ update the information in Payment Information.

How do I add users?

We understand; teams grow, roles change, and new users may need to be added to your Zelis Payments Portal. 

To add a new user or change permissions, your administrator can make those changes on the User Management screen.

How can I change notifications?

Be notified of payments in the way that works for you.

Within the Payments Portal in the Notifications section of Provider Settings, your administrator or a user with permission to ‘Manage Notifications’ can update how you are notified of payments. You can be notified via email, fax, text or not at all.

Note, if you are currently enrolled in the ACH+ (VRA Direct) product, it is best to have a Zelis agent update your notifications – call 877.828.8770 to speak with an agent.

Our administrator no longer works here - how do we get access to the account?

We are here to help. Contact client services at 877.828.8770 or ClientService@zelispayments.com and a Zelis representative will contact you to assist.

How can I update my information with Zelis, like (fax/contact number/address/provider name)?

Updates to account information can be done by an administrator within the Payments Portal on the Provider Settings page.

Can I find a copy of my Zelis ACH Provider Member Agreement?

You can. By clicking on your name in the right corner of the portal, you can access My Profile.

From there you’ll find a link to Electronic Documents where you can find your Zelis ACH Provider Member Agreement.

Can I add a clearinghouse?

To add a new clearinghouse, you can either contact Zelis directly at 877.828.8770; or update your ERA Delivery Method within the Provider Settings in the Payments Portal.

Forgot Password

It happens to all of us. Follow this link and you will be instructed on how to retrieve your password.

Forgot Username (currently disabled)

The ability to reset usernames has been disabled to ensure your information stays safe. If you have forgotten your username contact Zelis Client Services at 877.828.8770 or email ClientService@zelispayments.com.
